KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) recently foiled an attempt by two Bangladeshis to smuggle marijuana into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Security sources said the GDDC received information about a parcel which arrived from Dhaka via the United Arab Emirates.
The daily added, securitymen in cooperation with the customs officers arrested the two Bangladeshis when they went to the airport to collect the parcel.
During interrogation the Bangladeshis have admitted to running a worldwide drug smuggling ring. The drugs and the suspects have been referred to the authorities.
