‘Crazy’ for money
KUWAIT CITY, March 17: Police have arrested a 17-year-old unidentified youth for stabbing his sister and wheel-chair bound mother and assaulting the housemaid, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the security sources the incident happened in Rowdah. The sister called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and when the police reached the spot he refused to open the door.
However, police forced their way into the house and seized the youth who was still carrying a knife in his hands.
The sister has got a deep cut on the hand and the maid several bruises. They were injured when they rushed to protect the woman in the wheelchair.
In a statement to the police the sister said the suspect wanted to buy a new car and when the mother refused to give him money, he turned violent.
The suspect has been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.
In an identical incident, police are looking for an unidentified youth for assaulting his father and injuring him in the eye and chest and stealing his wallet and cell phone, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The father in a complaint to the Sulaibiya Police Station said his son asked for money and when he refused, he began to attack him, then snatched the wallet and cell phone and escaped.
The father has submitted a medical report showing injuries on his body.
