Bedoun, nephew in liquor trade

KUWAIT CITY, March 17: A Bedoun and his nephew were arrested recently for trading in liquor.
Acting on a tip-off, Director General of Drug Control General Department (DCGD) Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghannam formed a team of officers, who worked closely with the Customs officers and put the nephew under surveillance. An officer negotiated with the suspect to buy a carton of liquor, resulting in the latter’s arrest with an undisclosed quantity of alcoholic drinks in his possession.
During interrogation, the nephew admitted the crime and told investigators that he obtained the alcoholic drinks from his uncle who was also arrested when the officers raided his apartment where they found many bottles of different types of alcoholic drinks.
A case was registered and both suspects were referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.

Indians held with liquor: Two Indian expatriates were recently arrested for possession of 13 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
According to security sources, while securitymen were patrolling Abdullah Port at night, they noticed two individuals inside a Japanese-made vehicle and stopped them for checking to discover that they are Indian expatriates.
Sensing their nervousness and fear, securitymen checked the vehicle and found 13 bottles of locally brewed liquor. They were arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was arrested recently for possession of betel leaves and a bottle of locally brewed liquor.
Reportedly, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Khaitan when they suspected an individual sitting on his vehicle that was parked in front of a building.
They checked his details and discovered that he is an Indian expatriate. When they checked his vehicle, they found some betel leaves and one bottle of locally brewed liquor.
He was arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
