Man stabs to death manager of company in row over duties
KUWAIT CITY, March 16: A Bedoun man stabbed a 53-year-old manager of a company showroom in Hawalli to death due to a minor disagreement over official duties.
Security operatives at the Operations Room responded to a distress call reporting the incident. Hawalli Security Chief Brigadier Ghloum Habib led a team of detectives and paramedics to the scene. Experts checked the victim and discovered he died on the spot due to multiple stab wounds.
The suspect was unable to flee the scene, as security officers arrested him with the murder weapon in his hand. He confessed stabbing the deceased after a hot argument. The police have since deposited the corpse to Forensics, and legal procedures have been taken against the suspect.
Indian foils robbery bid: An Indian has filed a complaint at Salhiya Police Station against two unidentified persons who impersonated police and tried to steal from him, reports Al-Kuwaitiyah daily.
The complainant told police the suspects approached him and introduced themselves as security officers, so when they demanded for his civil ID he immediately took his wallet to present the ID. However, the suspects tried to grab his wallet and only then he realized they were not real policemen. He succeeded in scaring them off; hence, they failed to take his wallet.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
