Fake royal caught

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: Police have arrested an unidentified Iraqi man for impersonating a member of the ruling family, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said the Iraqi was caught for driving a luxurious car with tinted glass.
When the police requested the man to show the ‘permit’, which allows him to drive a car with, tinted glass he showed his civil ID which was in the name of a member of the ruling family.
It turned out the car was from a car rental office and when contacted the manager of the office said the man often hired luxury cars from their office and they were under the impression that he is a member from the ruling family.

Royal sentenced: The Court of Misdemeanors recently sentenced a member of the ruling family to one month imprisonment and fined him KD 500 to suspend the sentence, reports Al-Rai daily.
He was arrested for impersonating police. The court also sentenced his companion to one month and KD 100 to suspend the sentence in the same case. Case papers indicate that the two men impersonated police, broke into the home of Asians in Bneid Al-Gar and demanded to see their identification papers.
Sensing the two men were not police, the Asians managed to control them before calling police.
Police found out the two persons were under the influence of alcohol.
