KUWAIT CITY, March 12: Asmaa Al-Haddad was the lucky winner of the “Welcome Luxury” Hala February Ford Fiesta Car Raffle Draw jointly held by Crowne-Plaza Kuwait’s three health clubs- Spa Aquatonic, Laila Gallery Spa and Edge Fitness at a press conference late Monday evening on the premises of Crowne Plaza-Kuwait.
The raffle draw, a part of Crowne Plaza-Kuwait’s celebration of the national day anniversary, was and held earlier in the day under supervision by an official of the ministry of commerce and in the full view of the general public from both in and outside the hotel premises. Al-Haddad the lucky winner of the raffle, who appealed for privacy, was not present at the press conference arranged for the formal handing over of the big prize.
Al-Haddad who registered her membership at the Spa Aquatonic and subsequently acquired a coupon to enter the raffle less than 24 hours before the draw, became the 500th member of the club at the time she joined. Only 500 coupons were made available for purchase in order to enhance the winning chances of prospective entrants. The winner will eventually be handed the prize at the Ministry of commerce later the next day upon verification of her identity.

The raffle draw which was co-sponsored by Hamad Mohammad Al Wazzan and Al Nahar Newspaper was a culmination of 30 days of coupon sales and entries by registered members of the three health clubs. It was the first time the Health section of the hotel had held an event of that nature joining all the three leisure facilities under the Crowne Plaza management-Edge Fitness Center, Spa Aquatonic and Spa Laila Gallery.
“This obviously is not the last one but just to feel the pulse and going forward it is going to be made a seasonal event especially given the positive response we’ve received on this first event”, said Ramy Haykal, General Manager Crowne Plaza-Kuwait, who was at the event along with Michelle Campbell, Mohamed Hassan and other staff members of the health facilities.
