Equestrian show kicks off Amir sponsoring the festival
KUWAIT CITY, March 12, (KUNA): The second Kuwait Equestrian Show will kick off Wednesday, with 420 indigenous Arabian horses and 174 Kuwaiti and foreign owners participating in it. The total awards given in the festival amount to KD 200,000. The festival will take place at Bait Al-Arab. The festival will include two competitions, the open breed Arabian horses, during the first two days, while the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse will be held on Friday and Saturday. Every competition includes four categories.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Dr Sheikh Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah said in a statement that the equestrian show will kick off with age categories (one-three years old), (four-six years old), (seven-10 years old and above), as well as beauty stallion competition from (four-seven and above). European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO) has endorsed the festival and will be the judges of the competition, he added. Sheikh Ali Nasser thanked HH the Amir for sponsoring the festival and organizing committee as well as national bodies and companies for promoting the rich traditional Arab horsemanship through the festival.
