Egyptians thrash Indian and a police officer. Two arrested

KUWAIT CITY, March 10:  Two Egyptians were arrested for assaulting an Indian and a police officer.
The Indian filed a complaint at Salwa Police Station against an Egyptian who allegedly assaulted him.  He provided police with a detailed description of the suspect who was arrested later.

However, another Egyptian arrived at the station and asked to speak with the Indian outside where the Egyptian asked the Indian to withdraw the complaint but the latter refused, prompting the former to shout expletives at him.

When a police officer intervened and requested the Egyptian to leave, the Egyptian abused the officer verbally.  He even tried to beat the officer during arrest.  He was then detained with the other Egyptian for questioning and other necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, police are now looking for an unidentified young woman who fled when the officers demanded for her identification card.

While patrolling in Hawally, an officer signaled for the woman to stop for routine inspection.  However she sped off when asked to present her identification documents.

The officer then noted down the plate number of the vehicle and investigations are in progress to identify the woman and summon her for questioning.
