Earth to witness severe heat: experts Side effects of carbon dioxide emissions expected
KUWAIT CITY, March 9: Kuwait is among the hottest countries in the world during the summer seasons particularly some areas such as Al-Metriba due to increase in the level of carbon emissions that raises the temperature of the planet, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting a knowledgeable source.
Based on studies by related scientists, he indicated that there will be a severe rise in temperature in Earth whereby such locations in Kuwait will be hotter than usual in the upcoming summer season.
He pointed out that some studies have indicated a rise in the Earth temperature by 6 degrees at end of this century.
Based on a recent publication, the source explained that the planet Earth will become so hot that the temperatures will be similar to what it was around 11,300 years ago, adding that side effects of carbon dioxide emissions are likely to cause damage.
He disclosed that analyses were carried out in 73 locations across the world through which scientists were able to review records of Earth temperatures dating back to almost 11,000 years ago, adding that the latter have noticed the last ten years to be relatively hotter in comparison with 80 percent of the past years.
