KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The Second Training Session on Combating Osteoporosis was launched on Thursday at Abdullah & Sharifa Al-Mahari Medical Center in Khaldiya.

During the event, Director of Capital Health Zone Dr Tariq Al-Jasser affirmed that the Ministry of Health is working on combating several diseases including osteoporosis using the latest medical technologies.
He indicated that the Capital Health Zone has also been researching on advanced medical facilities for preventing the disease and is working on implementing related programs in Amiri Hospital and other medical centers.

He stressed that the Capital Health Zone is also researching on symptoms for detecting the disease at its early stages so that it is treated in best possible manner.

He revealed that an awareness and detection program will be implemented soon in the region to test patients for the disease and prescribe medicines as well as to spread awareness about the disease.
