Expat blamed in kidnap acquitted
KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The First Instance Court presided over by Judge Saleh Al-Houti acquitted an expatriate who was accused of kidnapping and hitting a youth.
Reportedly, the plaintiff explained that five individuals attacked him using sticks and forced him to get into their vehicle. They then took him to a room in Hassawi where they hit him further. After that, they demanded him to withdraw a complaint that he had lodged against one of them who had earlier assaulted the plaintiff.
Attorney Talal Al-Enezi requested the court to acquit his client (the defendant), insisting that the accusation was malicious and the testimonies of the witnesses are contradicting.
