673 kgs of spoilt food destroyed
KUWAIT CITY, March 2: Kuwait Municipality announced Saturday the destruction of 673 kgs of expired food during an inspection campaign in Al-Ahmadi Governorate.
The procedure was backed up by laboratory results and done by the precautionary inspecting teams of the department of imported food and emergency, said Director General of the Municipality Ahmad Al-Subaih here Saturday.
Four violation tickets have been filed during the inspection, he said, adding that a decision has also been issued on the disposal of seized rotten food.
The municipal council will continue to inspect products in all areas of the country as a measure to protect the consumers, said the official.
