KD 1,100, cell phones stolen from carwash firm and school Syrian held for allegedly smuggling diesel
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: A Syrian man who owns a carwash company has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing unidentified thieves of breaking into the shop and stealing KD 700, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily without going into details said police are looking for the suspect.
Meanwhile, police are looking for unidentified burglars for breaking into the Al-Takamul International School in Sabah Al-Salem and stealing KD 400 cash and five cell phones, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to police the safe was broken and everything in the office was topsy-turvy.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Syrian held: Police have arrested a Syrian man for allegedly smuggling diesel out of the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The arrest came after a Kuwaiti man who works at a petrol station in Umm Al-Aish saw the man filling his diesel tanker frequently and informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
Police put the man under surveillance and caught him red-handed.
Persons rescued: A rescue team freed some citizens and expatriates who were trapped inside the elevator of a building at a multi-purpose parking lot near a commercial complex in Salhiya area, following a report the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received about the incident, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Phone misused: Police are looking for an unidentified person for misusing the cell phone of his female friend, downloading her pictures and posting them on an Internet website, reports Al-Rai daily.
The victim has provided police with details of her friend, but when the police called the friend they found his phone out of the coverage area.
