Father finds KD 14, 000 from his dead son’s account withdrawn Indian expatriate dies in fall
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing an unidentified person of stealing KD 14,000 from the account of his dead son, reports Al-Anba daily.
A case of forgery of official documents has been filed with the concerned authorities.
According to the complainant, he discovered the theft when he went to check the bank account of his son since he is the guardian of his children.
He was surprised to learn about the withdrawal of the money after his death. The money was withdrawn in installments.
Indian dies in fall: The remains of an Indian man who fell to his death from the balcony of his home in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh have been referred to Forensics, reports Annahar daily.
According to information, the victim lost his balance while spreading clothes in the balcony.
According to eyewitness reports he fell on his head.
3 injured in accident: Three people who were injured on the Abu Dhabi Street following a collision between two cars, have been admitted to a hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
Egyptian workers injured: A 27-year-old Egyptian who lost his balance and fell while plastering a house in Qadsiya, has been admitted to the Amiri Hospital with injuries to the head and various parts of the body, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information paramedics rushed to the spot and took the man to the hospital.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Egyptian who fell from a high rise building near the Wafra stables has been admitted to a hospital with fractures in the hand, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
Wanted citizen held: Police from the Capital Governorate have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man, who had been earlier sentenced in absentia, for possessing and driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Annahar daily.
The man was arrested in Bneid Al-Gar by a police patrol. Security sources said the man driving a sports car was speeding.
He has been handed over to the authorities.
Restricted area entered: A 33-year-old Kuwaiti was arrested for entering a restricted area in Ahmad Al-Jaber Military Base to hunt for birds, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Security sources revealed the citizen was caught in the act of entering the restricted area after cutting a portion of the wire fence. He told the investigators that he entered the area to hunt for birds and he had no intention to commit a crime.
50-year-old drunk held: The Hawalli police have arrested a 50-year-old Kuwaiti for drinking alcohol, reports Annahar daily.
He was caught in Maidan Hawalli for harassing pedestrians and when police approached the man and demanded to see his ID, he refused to hand it over to them.
Son of top media figure dies: The son of a well-known media man died in a traffic accident at an unidentified location, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The victim reportedly lost control of his vehicle, hit the pavement and it overturned.
The Al-Watan daily identified the victim as 18-year-old Kuwaiti. The daily said he died on the spot after crashing into a cement barrier on a road in Kabd.
The victim was flung out of the car and his remains lay in a pool of blood by the side of the car. The car also was totally destroyed.
The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.
