SAMARRA, Iraq, Feb 22, 2013 (AFP) -Gunmen killed seven Iraqi anti-Qaeda militiamen and wounded one in an attack on the checkpoint they were manning northeast of Baghdad on Friday, a police officer and a doctor said.
The attack took place in the village of Halaiwat, near the disputed town of Tuz Khurmatu, at about 2:00 am (2300 GMT on Thursday), the officer said.
