Salary Calculation - Friday & Saturday weekly holidyas

I am working in a private sector firm. Fridays and Saturdays are my weekly holidays. My salary is KD. 520/ per month and I have 40 days pending annual leave.

I intend to travel out of Kuwait on Friday, 15/02/2013, but will apply for my vacation from Sunday, 17/02/2013 to Thursday, 28/02/2013, and will only report for duty Sunday, 03/03/201 as Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays.

Kindly let me know what amount the company must pay me (monthly salary / leave salary) and how many days must be deducted from my annual leave.

The company is calculating as follows: Salary per day KD 20/- (520/26 days)
Monthly salary 1-16 (less Fridays) 13 days x 20/ = KD 260.000
Leave salary 17-21/23-24/27-28 9 days x 20/ = KD180.000
Paid holidays 25 and 26 Feb. 2 days x 20/ = KD 40.000
Total KD 480.000

Is the company correct in their calculations? Company FC, Accountant and Lawyer all say the calculation is as per new Kuwait Labor Law.

Answer:
Some part of it is correct and some part not. In fact the company is paying you KD 40 more than you are entitled.
The calculations for the monthly salary are correct and so are that of the leave salary but you should not be paid for the national holidays, unless you are in the country, or these come at the end or start of your leave. It is enough that you are getting two days extra as these days are not counted in your leave. So you should not get the KD 40 and the total you should be paid is KD 440.
