I am an engineer with a UAE employment visa, and working in an engineering company in Kuwait for the past 1.3 years.
I want to quit and in case my company does not accept my resignation and cancels my UAE visa, will it be possible for me to get a Kuwait work visa, even though the UAE visa is active? Or do I have to cancel my UAE visa properly and then only I can get the Kuwait work visa. Please suggest a solution.

Answer: You are legally a UAE resident residing in Kuwait but there is nothing in the law which says you can’t apply for a Kuwait work permit without cancelling the UAE residence.

So just apply for the work permit although you will be required to complete all the medical and other formalities like a “new expatriate” to the country if your application is accepted, this involves leaving the country, getting all the formalities required to be done out of the country before returning to the country on the new document.
