Visa for banned nationals
Has the ban on Pakistani visas been lifted in Kuwait? How long will it take for the applications to be accepted? Will the applicants get an immediate answer on the submission of the applications?
Name withheld
Answer: Yes, the ban has been lifted - but so far only for dependent visas and although people think the ban has been set aside for only the government sector, applications are being accepted from all the sectors.
Also this lifting of the ban is only for the immediate family — wife and children — with the maximum age for the male children set at 15 years and 18 years for the female children.
While all the applications are being accepted , the authority to grant these visas rests with the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, who may or may not delegate this authority to the heads of the Immigration Departments in the various governorates.
So the acceptance of these applications could take some time - one to two weeks if these applications are quickly processed so you will not get an answer on the acceptance or rejection of the application on submission of the documents.
Please remember all the applications will also go through a security check before these are sent back to the Immigration Department.
