Corpse wrapped in ‘carpet’ found

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: The corpse of a 27-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was found wrapped in a carpet and dumped on the roadside along Ghazali Road.

Reportedly, Farwaniya securitymen rushed to the location when they received information from an eyewitness about the corpse. He informed securitymen that he was in his apartment when he saw a man parking his vehicle at the spot where the corpse was found and dumping a rolled carpet. The suspect left by the time he reached the spot and he checked the carpet to find the corpse. He immediately contacted the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior.

Securitymen referred the corpse to the Forensics Department for autopsy.

Intensive investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, a female teacher has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of stealing KD 100 from her handbag, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

However, according to reports the school administration has taken measures to identify the thief.
