KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: The Union of Civil Medical Professionals in a press release has condemned the manner in which some doctors are given license to practice their profession, reports Al-Qabas daily.

During the meeting, the union members said the authority at the time of issuing licenses does not depend on the qualifications of people who are recruited, adding the applications of people who are qualified are rejected.

The union also said it is necessary to change the mechanism of recruitment which lacks fairness and justice and suggested the tests should be ‘written’ and in English and tests should be prepared by professionals and experts in that domain.

Moreover, the union was of the opinion that interviews cannot complete in just 10 minutes to decide whether the person is qualified to take the job or not.

The union implored the Ministry of Health to give instructions to the Private Sector to respect the norms and conditions of recruitment, especially in this domain because it needs qualified people to run this segment.
