Pakistani expat steals cables
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: A Pakistani expatriate was arrested recently for stealing electrical cables from transformers in Jaber Al-Ahmad, Farwaniya and Sabhan areas, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, when Sabah Al-Salem securitymen received several complaints regarding the thefts, they carried out investigations and caught a Pakistani expatriate with some cables which he had stolen from a transformer in Sabhan.
During interrogations, he confessed to the thefts and revealed the identities of three other accomplices of same nationality.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the rest of the suspects.
Biker with gun: An unidentified individual was arrested recently in Salmiya for threatening a motorist with a revolver, reports Al-Rai daily.
When a traffic officer, who was patrolling Salmiya, received information about an armed individual riding a motorbike, he rushed to the location and demanded the suspect to surrender.
Even though the suspect initially refused, the officer managed to control him. He was referred to Salmiya Police Station for necessary legal action against him.
