7,882 citations issued, 532 cars seized 4 Kuwaitis among 7 injured in mishaps

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: Officers from General Traffic Department (GTD) issued 7,882 citations against various traffic violations and seized 532 vehicles during a series of traffic campaigns that were launched across the country during the weekend.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, in Capital Governorate, officers issued 1,580 citations and seized 53 vehicles while in Farwaniya Governorate, they issued 794 citations and seized 28 vehicles.
In Hawally Governorate, officers issued 2,036 citations and seized 150 vehicles while in Ahmadi, 1,300 citations were registered and 28 vehicles were seized.
In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, 60 citations were issued and 10 vehicles were seized while in Jahra Governorate, 810 citations were registered and 40 vehicles were seized.
Officers from the General Operations Unit issued 1,123 citations and seized 233 vehicles while the officers at Kuwait International Airport issued 179 citations for various violations.

4 Kuwaitis in 7 hurt: Seven individuals including four Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries due to traffic accidents that occurred throughout the country during the weekend.
In details, a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle toppled on King Fahad Expressway near Abdullah Port. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Adan Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another in Farwaniya. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
An 18-year-old Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle toppled on King Fahad Expressway near Umm Al-Haiman. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Adan Hospital for treatment.
Similarly, a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle toppled on Sixth Ring Road. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
A juvenile sustained injuries due to a traffic accident that occurred on Ghazali Road. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
In addition, a 15-year-old youth sustained serious injuries when his motorbike toppled in Nuwaiseeb. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Adan Hospital for treatment where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
A 24-year-old Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another on Second Ring Road near Dai’ya. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Amiri Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, earlier on Friday our individuals including a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries due to traffic accidents that occurred throughout the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In details, a 38-year-old Pakistani expatriate sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another on Airport Road. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another on Fahaheel Road. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Adan Hospital for treatment.
A 54-year-old Syrian expatriate sustained injuries when his vehicle crashed into another on Sixth Ring Road near Farwaniya. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
In addition, a 50-year-old Bedoun sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another on Second Ring Road between Da’iya and Dasma. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Amiri Hospital for treatment.

Qataris sue Kuwaiti columnist: Two Qatari citizens have filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor through Kuwaiti lawyer Doweim Al-Muweizri against Kuwaiti columnist Fuad Al-Hashim for abusing the State of Qatar and its leaders, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The columnist during an interview for the Al-Sabah TV channel had described the leaders and establishments as corrupt for interfering in the internal affairs of Kuwait.
