Indian in drug peddling

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31:  The Jabriya police have arrested an Indian man for peddling drugs on behalf of an inmate of a Central Prison, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said Director-General of Hawalli Investigation Department Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Suheil received secret information about the activities of the Indian and requested the head of the Jabriya Criminal Department Lt Colonel Khaled Al-Ansari to form a team of detectives to arrest the man.
When the man was arrested in Jabriya, police found in his possession a huge quantity of heroin and stimulants.
Police investigations led them to the inmate who made use of the Indian to sell the drugs and transfer the money to his bank account.
The drugs and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Heroin, ‘pills’ seized: The Hawalli police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, police acting on information formed a team of officers and put the suspect under surveillance.
The daily added the suspect was caught red-handed with the drugs - sachets of heroin and drug pills.
He has been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.

Smuggling bid foiled: Police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian trucker for attempting to smuggle one-and-a-half kilo of hashish into the country, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources police received information that the suspect coming from the Arab Republic of Egypt was going to smuggle drugs into the country.
Police put the man under surveillance and allowed the suspect to enter the country through the Salmi border post.
What he was not aware the Acting Director-General of the Drug Enforcement Administration Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghannam was waiting for 80 kilometers away.
As he approached a check post he was ordered to pull over and his truck was thoroughly searched. Police found the drugs neatly hidden in a secret compartment.
The driver has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.

Drugs with officer’s nephew: Plainclothes policemen at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested the nephew of a senior officer in the Ministry of Interior for possessing drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion after it became evident he was waiting for someone.
When police checked him they found in his possession three pieces of hashish. The police then checked his briefcase in the car and seized a quantity of cannabis and more hashish.
He has been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.

3 girls driving drunk: The Ahmadi police have arrested three unidentified young women for drinking alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, the woman was ordered to pull over because she was speeding along a road in Mina Abdullah.
As an officer walked to the car to issue a citation, he got the smell of alcohol. When the officer was running a check on their names on a computer, one of them shouted, ‘You dare not stop us.’
A case of reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol and insulting police on duty has been registered against the women.
