‘Opposition is planning to stir instability in country’ Bid to achieve political interests
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: The opposition leaders are planning to encourage bloody clashes between misled youths and the security operatives as a prelude to initiating chaotic situation and instability in the country, which will enable them to achieve their objectives and political interests, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting an informed source.
He indicated that the opposition’s strategy had reached the dead end due to the government’s wisdom and awareness of the citizens.
He said the extremist leaders used the ‘Nation’s Dignity’ rallies as means to achieve their wrong objectives but had later changed their method when they encountered failure.
He revealed that the opposition leaders had re-strategized afresh in a malevolent manner to provoke annoyance in the government.
He stressed the highest penalty for civil disobedience is public rejection, as majority of the citizens had condemned the actions of the opposition.
Teams
Meanwhile, the General Criminal Investigation Department has formed teams to monitor possible venues for Municipality Council sub-elections in compliance with the instructions of Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Awadhi, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting sources.
Asserting that holding sub-elections is against the law, sources warned the authorities will arrest anyone proven to have participated in such activities. They said the Electronic Crimes Unit will closely monitor the social networking sites to uncover online sub-election activities.
In an unrelated development, Dr Abdullah Al-Ateeqi, Secretary of Reform Society, was recently quoted as saying the society through its lawyer has filed a lawsuit against one of the local dailies for publishing accusations against the society, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
He said the society feels ashamed even to mention such accusations which reflect debauchery and an attempt to divert the attention from a plot which was hatched by Iran against Kuwait and the entire Gulf region.
