KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: An Arab national and a Bedoun were arrested recently for drug trafficking and possession of 25 bags of ‘Ice’ drug and five different-sized pieces of hashish.

According to security sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control (DGDC) received information about an individual involved in drug trafficking, a team was formed for investigations under the guidance of Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghanem.

After confirming the tipoff, the officers took necessary legal measures and arrested the first suspect of Arab nationality by sending a source to him to purchase two fingers of hashish.

They checked him to find 10 bags of ‘Ice’ drug and 5 pieces of hashish. The suspect revealed during interrogations about his accomplice who is a Bedoun, who was also arrested and with him, they found a bag of the ‘Ice’ drug.

During interrogations, he confessed that he had hidden 1.5 kilograms of ‘Ice’ drug in Kabad. Officers rushed to the location and confiscated the drugs as well as drug-intake tools and a weighing scale for measuring drugs.

The suspects were referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
