Neplai Maid commits suicide; youth run over, perishes
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: A Nepali housemaid recently hanged herself to death inside the home of one of the employees of a domestic labor office in Nugra, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to the employee he gave the victim the key of his house and requested her to clean his home. When she delayed in coming back, he went to see what was wrong and found her hanging from rope.
The corpse of the maid has been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating the death.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old Kuwaiti has admitted to running over and killing on the spot a same age compatriot, identified only as Khaled Al-Moheisen, on the Arabian Gulf Street last Wednesday, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the daily, the suspect’s father read an appeal in a newspaper from the uncle of the victim to help police arrest the hit-and-run motorist.
The uncle quoting eyewitness reports said the suspect was driving a grey color vehicle.
The suspect’s father after reading the newspaper report had a doubt that it may be his son and when he questioned the latter, he admitted to the act.
He also said, after the accident he was scared and escaped from the scene.
Death probed: Police are investigating the mysterious death of a 24-year-old Jordanian who was found dead on a street in Khaitan, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Without going into details the daily said the remains were partly decomposed.
Lankan shot: Police are looking for an unidentified person for shooting at a 34-year-old Sri Lankan man, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In his complaint to the Salmiya Police Station the Sri Lankan said one of the tenants in the building where he lives shot at him. The bullet is said to have caused superficial injury to his abdomen according to a report issued by the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.
In another incident, police are looking for an unidentified person for shooting at a Kuwaiti citizen. The bullet reportedly missed the man but hit his car, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source the Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station.
He told the officer, he was involved in a dispute with his ‘friend’ and the latter shot at him and escaped.
A case of attempted murder has been filed at the police station.
Cars set on fire: Police are looking for an unidentified person for setting fire to two expensive cars belonging to a Kuwaiti man. The car was parked in front of his home in a suburb of Al-Nahdha, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Kuwaiti said he heard the fire engine sirens in front of his home and got the shock of his life when he saw the firemen putting out the fire to his car. He put the price of both cars at more than KD 30,000.
Juvenile thieves held: Police have arrested four juveniles — three Kuwaitis and a Syrian — for stealing a luxurious car, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the police the victim said, he left the car engine in operation and entered a shop and when he returned he did not find the car.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the thieves and during interrogation they admitted to stealing seven cars. They also said they stole only luxury cars whose price ranged KD 7,000 and above.
