KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Two men intercepted a Syrian expatriate in front of a building in Nugra and stole KD 30,000 he withdrew from a bank in the area.
Sources said the victim had just withdrawn the sum from a local bank in the area when suddenly two youths intercepted him, while two other accomplices were waiting inside a vehicle. The thieves are said to have assaulted the victim, after which they took the envelope containing KD 30,000 by force and fled the scene with the other two who were waiting in the car.
Later, the victim filed a case with securitymen in Nugra and provided the description of the suspects.
Meanwhile, the Director of Hawalli Security Directorate Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Suhail has issued a directive directing the security operatives to follow-up and arrest the gang as soon as possible. 

Jail for Juwaihel: The Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Wael Al-Ateeqi, has sentenced former MP Mohammad Al-Juwaihel to three months in prison with hard labor for posting derogatory statements on Twitter. 
The court also imposed a fine of KD 2,000 on the accused for the possession of an unlicensed gun with 90 bullets.
It has been reported a group of lawyers had earlier filed a case against the former lawmaker for posting statements deemed offensive to a tribe; thereby, undermining national unity.
On rumors that he fled from the country, Juwaihel said on Twitter he has no plan to evade justice and he went to Poland to personally look into the situation of his daughter who is studying there.  He added he will serve the prison sentence upon his return to Kuwait.

Kuwaiti arrested: Officers from the Capital Security Directorate arrested a Kuwaiti under the influence of drugs after he was found sleeping inside a vehicle parked at a beach in the locality.
Apparently, a police patrol on duty along the beach noticed the suspect sleeping inside the vehicle and approached him for investigation.
Then they found tools for consuming drugs with narcotic pills after conducting a search inside his vehicle. He was referred to the concerned authority.
