KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: The automation service project for social aid at the Social Development Sector of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor will be concluded in the next few months to process the transactions of citizens, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

A source was quoted as saying application of the system will help the department overcome some problems that affect the workflow. He cited Social Welfare Unit, which is responsible for social aid, as the major beneficiary of the project, adding it will be easy to update data to prevent situations whereby cases undeserving of assistance enjoy the privilege.

He explained the project will facilitate implementation of transactions and relieve people who visit the department for many dealings. He disclosed the project was initiated few years ago in conjunction with Civil Service Commission, and that it started with the Labor Department to the Social Development Department, and then the Cooperative Department that deals more with citizens and expatriates.
