Bangladeshi in illegal calls trade buisness
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26: A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested recently for running an illegal business of providing international calling services at low costs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a regular gathering of large number of people in front of his building, which causes disturbance to the tenants, securitymen rushed to the location and discovered that a Bangladeshi expatriate was running an illegal telephone booth.
They arrested him and seized the devices that he used for the illegal services. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Asian held with liquor: A 30-year-old Asian expatriate was arrested recently in Farwaniya for possession of 200 bottles of locally brewed liquor, reports Al-Anba daily.
Reportedly, while Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling the area, they stopped a vehicle driven by the suspect. However, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran on foot. Securitymen chased him and managed to arrest him.
They checked the vehicle and found 200 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
He was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Peddler flees police: An unknown individual recently escaped arrest by running away on foot from securitymen, leaving behind 61 bottles of locally brewed liquor and one bottle of whisky inside his vehicle, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to a security source, while securitymen were patrolling in front of the Equestrian Club, they noticed the suspect driving his vehicle in a reckless manner.
When securitymen demanded him to stop, he jumped out of the vehicle and ran away on foot. Securitymen chased him but were unable to catch him. They checked his vehicle and found 62 bottles of liquor.
Officers from General Department for Criminal Evidences rushed to the location and lifted fingerprints.
Investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspect.
Boy, girl found drunk: A young couple was arrested recently in Subbiya for consumption of alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling Subbiya, they noticed a youth driving his vehicle in a reckless manner. They stopped him and realized that he and his female passenger were both highly intoxicated. They checked their details and discovered that the girl was reported as missing by her family.
Securitymen checked the vehicle and found a bottle of imported liquor.
The couple were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
Juvenile thief caught: An Iranian juvenile was arrested recently for breaking into parked vehicles and stealing its contents, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, while Hawally securitymen were patrolling the area, they noticed the juvenile lurking around some parked vehicles. When he noticed the patrol vehicle, he tried to run away. However, securitymen managed to catch him and checked his bag to find several stolen items and tools used for opening the doors of vehicles. He was arrested and referred to the police station for necessary legal action against him.
Officer terminated: A military officer was recently terminated from service after he posted a picture of himself attired in military uniform on the social networking site known as ‘Instagram’, reports Al-Anba daily.
Reportedly, when the Military Intelligence Services discovered the picture on the website, they questioned him. When he admitted to the act, they discharged him from service.
Sources explained that employees of Armed Forces including military officers and non-commissioned officers and individuals are prohibited from dealing with any topics related to military affairs on social networking sites.
