Tt doesn’t matter how many weekends or public holidays fall within your leave
I am working for a private company. I am going on leave from 13/2/2013 to 03/03/2013. Now during this leave there are a number of Fridays and national holidays. Please guide me how my leave will be calculated.

Answer: Please try to understand that it doesn’t matter how many weekends or public holidays fall within your leave, you will be paid for only 30 working days, which should be divided by 26 and multiplied by your salary.
The only difference here is that the duration of your ‘absence from office’ or the length of your leave increases.
Now when you start your leave on Feb 13, 2013 upto March 03, 2013, the total days are 19 but as 3 Fridays and two public holidays (National & Liberation Day) fall within this period, only 14 days should be deducted from your annual leave.
