Asian, lover caught selling home-made liquor 2 Kuwaiti held with drugs, forged currency

KUWAIT CITY, July 19: An Asian couple was arrested in Hawally area in possession of 102 bottles of locally brewed liquor and one jerrican filled with 35 liters of liquor. According to security sources, securitymen were patrolling Hawally area at night when they suspected a couple inside a vehicle. They stopped them and checked their details to discover they are Asian expatriates.

Sensing their nervousness, securitymen checked the vehicle and found 102 bottles of locally brewed liquor and a jerrican filled with 35 liters of liquor. During investigations, they revealed that they were involved in a love affair. They also revealed that they brew liquor inside their apartment in Hawally area, which they sold to their customers, adding that they have been selling liquor for several months. They were arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Duo held with drugs, forged currency : Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Ardiya area for driving recklessly and possessing drugs, sharp objects, 12 mobile phones and forged KD 20 currency notes.
According to security sources, while securitymen were patrolling Ardiya area, they noticed an individual using his vehicle to perform stunts. When they demanded him to stop, he fled from the location. Securitymen chased him and managed to stop him to discover there were two occupants inside the vehicle.


When securitymen checked their details, they discovered that the driver is a 23-year old Kuwaiti citizen working at the Ministry of Interior while the other is a 24-year old Kuwaiti citizen working at the Ministry of Defense. While securitymen were questioning them, one of the suspects tried to run away but securitymen managed to arrest him and requested for backup. They checked the vehicle and found two sachets of drugs, two pieces of hashish, narcotic pills, drug intake tools, sharp objects, and forged KD 20 currency notes. They were arrested and referred to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against them.
