Top officials congratulate Kuwait’s Amir on national days celebration Sheikh Nawaf wishes Kuwait lasting security, stability

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a cable of congratulations on the occasion of the 52nd National Day, the 22nd Liberation Day and the seventh anniversary of HH ascending to the top post from HH the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. HH the Amir received similar cables from National Assembly Speaker Ali Fahad Al- Rashid, HH National Guard Chief Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, National Guard Deputy Chief Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH Sheikh Nasser Al- Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah. In the cables, the officials expressed heartfelt feelings of loyalty to Kuwait, and wished HH the Amir good health and Kuwait more progress and prosperity under his leadership.

In return, HH the Amir congratulated them on the National Days and appreciated their noble and sincere feelings towards the country, wishing Kuwait and its people more development and prosperity. HH Sheikh Sabah also recalled the compatriot martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their nation during the invasion by the former Iraqi regime, and prayed Allah Almighty they may rest in peace.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent congratulatory cables on the occasion of Kuwait national days celebrations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness National Guard Chief Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Sabah. In the cables, HH the Crown Prince congratulated the top leaders on the 52nd National Day of Kuwait Independence, the 22nd Liberation Day and the Seventh Anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s assumption of the leadership of the country.

HH the Crown Prince also wished Kuwait longlasting security and stability as well as more progress and welfare under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah. In return, HH Sheikh Nawaf received congratulatory cables from HH the Amir, HH Sheikh Salem Al- Ali and Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah. HH Sheikh Nawaf received similar cables from National Assembly Speaker Ali Fahad Al-Rashid, National Guards Deputy President Sheikh Meshaal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al- Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and senior sheikhs. Kuwait ministers, governors, state top officials and members of the diplomatic missions sent cables to HH the Crown Prince to greet him on the national days’ celebrations.

Elsewhere, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed in Riyadh on Sunday that the country’s National Day “is a memory that reminds us all of the sacrifices of our forefathers in the process of building our beloved country.” “Kuwait and its people celebrate the 52nd National Day and 22nd Liberation Day with pride, joy, patriotic devotion and determination for continuous success and development,” Sheikh Thamer told KUNA. On the occasion of the country’s anniversaries’ celebration, the Ambassador congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and all Kuwaiti people. “These dear annual occasions remind us of the bliss of freedom and the preciousness of our beloved country as well as renew our loyalty and love towards it as we all unite together with our leadership,” Sheikh Thamer added. He praised the historic essence of the National Day, noting that “Kuwaitis have reaped the fruit of our forefathers’ sacrifices and sincere efforts that they had spent for Kuwait to gain its independence during Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Mubarak Al- Sabah’s reign in June 19, 1961.”

Since the dawn of the Independence Day, the rulers of Kuwait have carried on their achievements to raise the country’s name among the nations, persevering to keep it apace with its renaissance and the overall development of the Kuwaiti citizen, he added. At the same time, Kuwait remains cooperative with the neighboring GCC countries and the Arab League, fulfilling its national and international humanitarian duties to the fullest by pursuing a moderate and a balanced foreign policy that seeks peaceful communication with the rest of the world as it is committed to the UN charter, said Sheikh Thamer.

Sheikh Thamer concluded by praising the strong Kuwaiti-Saudi ties over the years down to the prosperous era of HH the Amir and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, stating that patriotism must be integrated with hard work, dedication and devotion as all Kuwaitis are ambassadors who represent their country. Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani said on Sunday that the Kuwaiti national holidays are dear occasions to the hearts of all the people of the Gulf who have feelings of love, affection and appreciation to the Kuwaitis. Al-Zayani said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the 52nd National Day and the 22nd anniversary of the liberation that this appreciation from the Gulf states reflects the depth of the ties that bind the peoples of the Arabian Gulf. Al-Zayani extended his congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Government and people of Kuwait on these blessed occasions, wishing Kuwait more prosperity and progress.

He expressed deep appreciation of the insightful vision of His Highness the Amir, who worked to harness efforts of development and construction for for the sake of achieving the aspirations of the people of Kuwait. In related news, Dean of Lebanese Journalists Elias Aoun said here on Sunday that the leadership and people of Lebanon share the Kuwaiti people their national celebrations. Aoun extended in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) congratulations to His Highness the Amir, government and people of Kuwait, wishing the country more prosperity and progress. He said that Kuwait has enjoyed a democratic constitution which has been behind its renaissance in the economic, trade, media, educational and cultural spheres, praising the freedom provided by the Kuwaiti leadership and guaranteed by the Kuwaiti constitution. Aoun said that Kuwait is an example to be followed in promoting the concepts of freedom, democracy and free media.
