KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18, (KUNA): The Ministry of Defense said Monday that the sound of explosion heard this morning was that of a fighter jet of the Kuwaiti Air Force breaking the sound barrier.

The Ministry Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations headed by Army General Staff said in a press statement that this incident occurred during preparations for the implementation of the Peninsula Shield exercise (9), which will take place in Kuwait in the coming days.
