Expats nab, hand over two ‘thieves’ to police Pakistani attempts suicide

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: Police have arrested a lance corporal from the Ministry of Interior and his cousin for robbing expatriates in Fahaheel, reports Al-Anba daily.
The cousin and another man (who is still at large) are also charged with impersonating police.
A security source said the lance corporal who works for the Criminal Investigation Department taking advantage of his position raided the homes of expatriates, assaulted them and stole their wallets with the help of the two accomplices.
The daily added, some expatriates wrestled the corporal and his cousin to the ground, tied their feet and hands behind their backs and called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
Police rushed to the spot, arrested the thieves and seized from them KD 3,000. The thieves have been detained at the Fahaheel Police Station prior to referring them to the Public Prosecution.

Suicide attempted: A Pakistani man who tried in vain to end his life by setting himself on fire inside a camp in Kabd has been admitted to the Al-Babtain Hospital for Burns, reports Al-Anba daily.
A Kuwaiti informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior after the guard of the camp succeeded in putting off the fire.
According to sources the man poured an inflammable substance over his body and set fire to it.
The Pakistani will be summoned for interrogation after his health improves.

Indian beaten, robbed: Police are now looking for three unidentified persons who allegedly assaulted and robbed an Indian, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
The Indian told police he was surprised when the suspects approached him as he does not know any of them.  They took turns in beating him, and then they took his mobile phone, KD150 cash and a gold necklace. 
After taking the abovementioned items from the victim, the suspects immediately fled from the scene.  The Indian obtained a medical certificate from Salmiya Clinic before filing a report on the incident at a nearby police station.  He also provided police with a detailed description of the culprits.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the thieves.

Cars set on fire: Police are looking for unidentified persons for setting fire to two cars which were parked on an open ground in Taima, Jahra, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to residents of the area setting fire to cars on the open ground has become a daily routine. The cars which are being set on fire are believed to be stolen property.
After setting fire to the cars the suspects escape from the scene.

Thieves arrested: The Jahra police have arrested two young thieves (a GCC citizen and a bedoun) for breaking into cars in Taima two days ago, reports Al-Anba daily.
Investigations conducted by securitymen led to the identification of the two suspects and police then set a trap for them in the Jahra Industrial Area and caught them red-handed.
During interrogation the thieves are said to have admitted to the charge. The victims will be summoned to identify their belongings.
