Woman ‘seduced’ ; ‘No zebra meat’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: A Lebanese woman has filed a complaint with the Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station against a senior official from the Chest Hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In her complaint the woman said she had gone to the hospital to admit her husband and the official promised to do a ‘favor’ for her if she promised to meet him after his working hours. The complainant said the official even offered her juice.
She added, the man got angry, when she refused to drink the juice and his offer and told her to get out of his office. He is even said to have refused to admit her husband.
When the woman went to file the complaint the officer on duty reportedly said it is natural to offer juice and that there is nothing wrong in the behavior.
He added, this cannot be considered a crime because he did not directly urge her to commit immoral act.

‘No zebra meat’: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Municipality has denied rumors which have been spread by some networking sites that restaurants in Kuwait serve zebra meat, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Member of the Municipal Council Abdullah Al-Kandari has denied reports which quoted him as saying he had spotted zebra meat in one of the restaurants.
The daily added, the councilor has threatened to file a lawsuit against the person who has spread the rumors in his name.
However, a religious personality Hai Al-Hai was quoted as saying eating zebra meat is permissible, unlike the meat of donkey which is ‘haram’ in Islam.
