Assembly secretary proposes new designs for entry visas Al-Awadi proposes 2 types of entry visas

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9:  National Assembly Secretary Kamil Al-Awadi has proposed new designs for entry visas granted to foreigners in GCC countries, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a recent press statement, Al-Awadi explained his proposal, once implemented, will the pave way to the realization of the economic and social development visions of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

He said the new Gulf visas will be issued from any GCC country to foreigners and their families residing in the region, although he admitted that there is more to be done in terms of agreements on the unification of the system.

Al-Awadi suggested two types of entry visas — normal and golden.

He disclosed the normal entry visa is valid for three months from the date of entry but it is not renewable and it will be issued to certain categories of people based on their professions.  He said the golden visa will be valid for one year and it will be given to high-level professionals, such as visiting doctors, senior consultants and international agents.

The Secretary added his proposal is in response to the call of HH the Amir to exert more efforts in overcoming obstacles to have more achievements in all aspects and to strengthen relations between the GCC countries.
