Strange story of an Ethiopian housemaid Omani in liquor trade

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: Police have arrested an Omani citizen, who is believed to be in his 50s, for allegedly trafficking in locally-manufactured alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added the bootlegger was arrested while driving along a road in Mahboula.
According to security sources the Omani was taken into custody for failing to return a rented car. Police seized from the car 21 bottles of booze and handed him over to the competent authority.

Strange maid story: In a very strange incident, an Ethiopian housemaid who had escaped from the home of her sponsor three days ago, has returned but she had a story to tell - that she had aborted her fetus and dumped it on the road, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The housemaid said she had sex with the driver of a neighbor. However, the maid has been handed over to the police.

School owner summoned: Director-General of Private Education at the Ministry of Education Mohammad Al-Dahis has referred a private school in Jahra to the Legal Affairs Department, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The owner of the school was summoned after a complaint was filed by a group of parents.
The complaint was regarding payment of tuition fees and admission which was registered as between June 25 and July 25, 2013. Each parent was asked to pay KD 220 failing which they were told their sons will not get the admission.

Smuggling bid foiled: Customs officers at the Abdali border post recently foiled an attempt by a Syrian trucker to smuggle 2,000 narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added the trucker arrived from Iraq. The contraband and the suspect have been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.
