Slain expat’s wife rules out ‘revenge’ Egyptian man’s spouse in Kuwait to help in probe

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: The widow of the Egyptian real estate businessman who was gunned down on Jan 7, 2013 in his office in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh was quoted as saying she does not believe her husband was killed in revenge,” reports Al-Anba daily.

She added her husband was a very hard working human being and as a result earned a lot of money.
She went on to say, the day he was killed, he did not mention to her anything that could let her suspect something could happen to him. She also said the reason for murder could be related to money issues.
It is worth mentioning the authorities brought the wife of the decease to Kuwait to help in the investigations in addition to interrogating more than 50 people but have yet to find a clue to pin the suspects.

Earlier it was reported the victim was found dead inside his office in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. A suspect (suspects) reportedly shot at him six times. Two fatal shots — one to the head and another to the heart — killed him on the spot. A report issued by the Forensic Department showed all bullets came from a single weapon.

Following the murder, police had seized the cell phone of the victim and were reportedly tracing all incoming and outgoing calls made prior to the murder.

Police had also detained for interrogation all people who had business relations with the victim in addition to the employees who work in the company where the victim was employed.
