Police hunt Kuwaiti for cheating man of KD 26,000 in fake deal 2 arrested for alcohol use; overdose kills man

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested recently in Mutla for consumption of liquor and possession of an imported liquor bottle and one piece of hashish.
According to security sources, while Jahra securitymen were patrolling Mutla, they suspected a vehicle parked beside the road. They checked the details of the two occupants and discovered they are Kuwaiti citizens.
Detecting the smell of alcohol from them, securitymen checked the vehicle and found an imported bottle of liquor and a piece of hashish.
They were arrested and referred with the items to the Directorate General for Drug Control (DGDC) for necessary legal action against them.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently in Qurain for possession of sachets of heroin and drug-intake equipments.
According to security sources, while Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen were patrolling Qurain at night, they noticed a vehicle parked inside a school’s parking lot. They checked the details of the driver and discovered he is a 21-year-old Kuwaiti citizen.
Sensing his disoriented state and nervousness, securitymen checked his vehicle and found sachets of heroin and drug-intake tools. He was arrested and referred with the items to DGDC for necessary legal action against him.

Drug overdose kills citizen: A Kuwaiti citizen was found dead inside his vehicle in Na’eem due to drug overdose.
According to security sources, when Jahra securitymen were patrolling Na’eem, they noticed a vehicle with an occupant parked beside the road. When they checked, they discovered he was dead. They found a large quantity of narcotic pills close to him. They checked his details and discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen.
Officers from General Department of Criminal Evidences rushed to the location and referred the corpse to Forensics Department for autopsy.
A case was registered for investigations.

Man cheated of KD 26,000: Police are looking for an unidentified citizen for cheating an unidentified person to the tune of KD 26,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the suspect, a Kuwaiti man, claimed he is the owner of a building and sold an apartment to the victim.
However, when the victim went to take possession of the apartment, he discovered a tenant was living in the apartment.
When he discovered he had been cheated by the suspect, he filed a case with the Attorney-General Dirar Al-Asousi.
A travel ban has been imposed on the fake owner of the building.

Indian assaulted, robbed: An unknown individual waylaid an Indian expatriate, assaulted him and robbed him of KD 40 from his wallet, after which he fled from the location.
According to security sources, the Indian expatriate filed a case at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station, informing securitymen that an unknown individual who was wearing casual attire assaulted him while he was on his way to his apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and stole KD 40 from his wallet.
Securitymen noted the description of the suspect and investigations are ongoing to arrest him.

Maid attempts suicide:
An Asian housemaid tried to commit suicide by consuming large number of pills inside the house of her Kuwaiti sponsor in Firdous.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a Kuwaiti woman that her Asian housemaid took some medicines and fell unconscious on the kitchen floor, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and referred the housemaid to Farwaniya Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of her suicide attempt.

Syrian injured in fight: A Syrian expatriate sustained injuries on his face and fractured his arm during a quarrel with two others in Hassawi recently.
According to security sources, when few Syrian expatriates were playing football in a lot in Hassawi, a quarrel broke out among three of them during which they assaulted each other. The eyewitnesses informed securitymen who rushed to the location along with paramedics and referred the victims to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
Necessary action was taken against them.
