Fake medicines seized from several Hawalli pharmacies MoH stickers found on sex-boosters

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: In the ongoing inspection campaigns organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Medicine Control Department of the Ministry has confiscated a quantity of medical compositions such as fake antibiotics which totally resembles the original antibiotic pills in all aspects apart from its effectiveness from several pharmacies in Hawalli, reports Al-Anba daily.

The team has also confiscated medicines which had on them MOH stickers and other medicines such as sex boosting drugs, painkillers and ointments with price tags from neighboring countries, something which is considered a violation of pharmacy regulation law number 28/1996.

The fake medicines were stored in unlicensed stores in one of the residential apartments in Hawalli. The store belonged to a pharmacy in the area next to one of the commercial complexes.

One Asian employee told the inspectors who were accompanied by securitymen that the manager of the pharmacy is the one who brings the medicines.
A case has been filed at the Nugra Police Station.
