Kuwaiti drug addict threatens to slay his mother, sisters 70 tons of rotten foodstuff seized

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: The Rumaithiya police have arrested a young Kuwaiti drug addict for threatening to stab his mother and sisters, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information police rushed to the house and controlled the young man who was behaving hysterically and seized from his possession four sachets of heroin and 15 narcotic pills.
When police checked the records, they discovered he was the main cause of his brother’s death a few months ago who had succumbed to an overdose of drugs.
It has been reported the suspect tried to kill his four children two weeks ago. When he tried to throw the kids down from the third floor of a residential building the mother and sisters intervened and saved their lives.

Rotten food seized: A team from the Imported Foodstuffs Department at the Kuwait Municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry raided a store in Farwaniya and confiscated 70 tons of expired foodstuffs, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily gave no further details.

Pakistani dies: The remains of an unidentified Pakistani man who reportedly died of a heart attack inside the parking lot of the Faculty of Arts in Keifan have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police and paramedics acting on information rushed to the spot but could do little to revive the man.
The daily added, some tweeters circulated rumors that a Kuwait man had died of heart attack but the security sources were quick enough to deny such rumors.

Wife missing: A Kuwaiti man has filed a missing person report on his wife with the Salmiya Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Kuwaiti said his wife is an actress. He added they were on their way home and when they passed by a restaurant she asked him to buy her food.
He parked the car and went to buy food for him and when he returned he did not find her.

‘Find my dad’: A GCC woman has filed a missing persons report at the Nugra Police Station on her 80-year-old father. She told the police her father left the house nearly one week ago. She also said he is walking with the help of crutches, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman also said her father’s eyesight is weak and appealed to people knowing about his whereabouts to inform the Nugra Police Station or call 94913476.

Kuwaiti rescued: The Salmiya police recently saved the life of a Kuwaiti man who is believed to be in his 40s who was threatening to end his life by jumping from the window of his apartment because his wife had filed a complaint against him accusing him of setting fire to her car, reports Al-Rai daily.
When the securitymen went his house they were shocked because he threatened jump from the window of his house.
The man added his ex-wife was deliberately filing lawsuits against him.
Securitymen convinced him to give up the idea of ending his life and then took him to the Salmiya Police Station for interrogation.

Hunt for Asian: Police are looking for an Asian housemaid for stealing her passport and KD 4,000 from her sponsor’s home in Farwaniya, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the area police station.
