Police take into custody 3 scantily dressed women Filipina foils kidnap bid

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Acting on information police rushed to a shopping center in Salmiya and took into custody three unidentified young women who were scantily dressed, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources some shoppers who were curious at the behavior of the women who were dressed in a vulgar manner and when the owner of a shop requested the women to leave and not to create chaos in his shop, the women refused saying they have the right to choose how to dress. The director of the shopping mall then called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.

A case of ‘obscene act’ has been filed against the women.

Meanwhile, an unidentified woman who was high on alcohol was taken to the Rumaithiya Police Station for insulting officers on duty, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, a police patrol on duty saw a scantily dressed woman in the area. When an officer demanded to see her ID, he got the smell of alcohol and when he told her to get into the vehicle, she hurled insults at him.

A case has been registered at the Rumaithiya Police Station.

Kidnap bid foiled: The Farwaniya police are looking for three unidentified men dressed in national clothes for attempting to kidnap a Filipino woman, reports Al-Rai daily.
The incident happened when the woman was walking her way home from behind the shopping complex where she works.
The three men allegedly tried to bundle her in their vehicle and when she raised an alarm, the men abandoned their attempt and escaped from the scene.
The woman in her complaint to the police said she could not note down the car plate number but she has given description of the men.
