Many flock to Folklore Festival

A large number of citizens and Gulf nationals on Friday attended the camel competition and witnessed 25 different species of camels also race against each other, and other activities in the ongoing Folklore Festival that will be concluded on Feb 15.

Chairperson of the organizing committee of the festival Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser said the camel competition combined different species of camels in their colors, indicating it is the first time the competition is bringing together all GCC countries with over 70 participants. This shows the event has been successful under the auspices of HH the Amir of Kuwait, he noted.

Meanwhile, Kuwaitis took the first three places in the competition of Shami goats, while 89 contenders participated in the fishing competition at the headquarters of fishermen in Watiya.

Among the winners in the fishing competition were Abdul Razak Abdul Aziz Ali, Abdul Ridha Ghaloum, Mohammad Hamad Al-Tamimi and Khalid Mohammad Al-Dousari.
