Kuwaiti, Asian in drug peddling

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: A Kuwaiti citizen, who was wanted by law for his involvement in several cases, was arrested recently for possession of one kilogram of hashish and a number of intoxicants.
Reportedly, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about the suspect involved in drug trafficking, they formed a team for investigations.
After confirming the information, they took necessary legal action to arrest him.
They sent an undercover agent to the suspect to buy a finger of hashish and while the deal was ongoing, the officers closed in on the Kuwaiti citizen and arrested him.
They checked his apartment and found one kilogram of hashish and a large sum of money as well as a number of intoxicants.
He was referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate was arrested recently for possession of 100 grams of heroin, 100 grams of Shapo, 50 grams of marijuana and 1,000 narcotic pills.
When the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about the suspect involved in drug trafficking, they investigated and confirmed the information, after which they took necessary legal measures and arrested the suspect.
They raided his apartment and found the illicit items. He was referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

Syrian stabbed: Police have arrested two youths - an Egyptian and a Palestinian — for stabbing a Syrian youth, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspects and one of them stabbed the victim while the other went to a nearby restaurant brought a knife and also stabbed the victim several times.
The Syrian has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.
The suspects have been referred to the authorities.

Killer nabbed: The Jahra police have arrested the main suspect who had allegedly stabbed to death an Egyptian guard of a livestock pen in Ahmadi two months ago, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the suspect and two others (bedoun) went to the livestock pen to rob and when the victim prevented them, the suspect stabbed him causing his death.
A security source said investigations conducted by police led to the arrest of the two accomplices who gave police information about the main suspect. The alleged killer was arrested from his hideout in Sulaibiya.

Guard puts up fight: Police are looking for two unidentified persons for attempting to steal construction material from a site in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added, when the guard of the construction site raised an alarm, the suspects stabbed him in the stomach and escaped.
The daily added, the guard resisted the suspects, grabbed the knife from the hands of the man who assaulted him and stabbed him in the hand and then called the company officials. The officials summoned the police and rushed the victim to a hospital.

Wife threatened:  Police have summoned a Kuwaiti man for interrogation for threatening to post his wife’s pictures on the social networking websites, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source the wife’s sister in her complaint to the police said the man was involved in an argument with his wife and when she intervened and tried to talk to him he threatened to post her pictures also on the website.

Woman swindled: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing her husband of swindling her, reports Al-Rai daily.
The complainant said her husband wanted to buy a grocery shop and she gave him her jewelry to sell but instead of buying the grocery, he used the money to marry another woman.
