KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that Jan 24 is an official holiday on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

On the other hand, sources disclosed the Cabinet is expected to endorse a recommendation to declare Feb 24, which falls on a Sunday, as a special non-working holiday because it is sandwiched between Feb 23 — a Saturday, and Feb 25 and 26 — Kuwait’s National and Liberation days.

Therefore, work in most offices and establishments will resume on Feb 27.
