Pakistani and Lebanese Teens held with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: Police have arrested two teenagers – a Lebanese and a Pakistani — for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The teens, believed to be 17, 19 years respectively, were arrested in Julaia’a. A police patrol saw the men sitting inside a parked car and when they saw police approaching, they tried to escape from the scene.
Police chased and arrested the suspects and seized from them two grams of heroin and pieces of hashish.
They have been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.

Daring theft bid: The Sulaibiya police have arrested a Kuwaiti youth who is believed to be in his 20s for stealing a new Jeep from the compound of Public Warehousing Company in Sulaibiya and running over an Egyptian security guard, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The arrest came after the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received a call that the suspect had escaped with the vehicle carrying no licence plate number and that he had run over the guard when he attempted to stop him at the gate.
The guard has been admitted to a hospital with injuries and fractures. The Kuwaiti has been handed over to the authorities.
However, according to the Al-Watan Arabic daily two youths were in the Jeep and the Saudi who driving the Jeep.
The daily added the youth collided with 40 other vehicles which were parked inside the parking lot of the Warehouse before driving off.
The daily said the Kuwaiti was arrested two hours after the theft was reported. Police are looking for the Saudi who is still at large.

Diesel tanker stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing a tanker filled with 5,000 liters of diesel, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant when he discovered the theft of the tanker which was parked in front of his house in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, he informed his sponsor.
The man said he parked the tanker and entered his house and it was gone in just a few minutes.

Hunt for pickpocket: Police are looking for a pickpocket for stealing KD 3,500 from a Saudi man at the Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Saudi in his complaint to the police said he discovered the theft when he was about to change the money at the airport’s money exchange office.
