Body dumped on street, other found at home Foul play seen in man, woman death

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: The corpse of a 40-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was found on a street in Surra on Friday afternoon.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the corpse, securitymen led by Capital Security Chief Major General Tareq Hammadah and his deputy Brigadier Hussein Al-Shirazi and paramedics rushed to the location. Securitymen checked the corpse and found a mobile phone as well as substances suspected to be an illicit drug from the pockets of the deceased.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was not a resident of the area and was dumped by an unknown individual.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman in her 50s was found dead inside her residence in South Surra.
According to security sources, when the victim’s neighbor informed securitymen that the victim is missing and has not been answering calls for almost 20 days, securitymen rushed to the location after receiving required permission and the corpse of the victim.
Investigations revealed the involvement of some foul play in the woman’s death and the corpse was referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy.
