MP laments MoI’s delay in intensifying efforts to control crimes

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Defense and Interior Committee MP Abdullah Al-Tamimi lamented the Ministry of Interior’s delay in intensifying efforts to control crimes, insisting that the murder crime that took place inside Avenues Mall would not have taken place if the ministry had taken prior precautionary security measures, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

He stressed that nearly 80,000 visitors visit Avenues Mall on a daily basis, which is reason enough for the ministry to assign at least an officer of rank Lieutenant General in such sites that are crowded with citizens and residents.

He stressed that the victim would have been rescued if securitymen were able to reach the location within 45 minutes, lamenting that the Emergency Department of Ministry of Interior does not respond positively or seriously to any of the distress calls or reports.
