4th grader injured in eye after badly beaten by fellow student Police arrest Bedoun with hashish, drug pills

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: A Bedoun was arrested recently in Jahra for possession of hashish and narcotic pills.
Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling Jahra, they suspected a Japanese-made vehicle. They stopped the vehicle and checked the details of the driver to discover he is Bedoun. Noticing his nervousness, securitymen checked his vehicle and found hashish and narcotic pills. They also discovered he was involved in civil cases.
He was arrested and referred with the items to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, Ahmadi securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen in his 30s for possession of narcotic pills and other intoxicants.
Reportedly, the suspect tried to resist the arrest but securitymen called for backup and managed to arrest him. He was referred with the items to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him.
In addition, Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen and two GCC expatriates for possession of an imported liquor bottle while they were on their way to a camp in Kabad desert. Necessary action was taken against them and they were referred with the items to the concerned authorities.

Student badly beaten up: An unidentified student who was badly beaten by a fellow student in a primary school has been admitted to a hospital with injuries to the eye, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the child’s father the school management initially refused to disclose the incident to protect the name of the school.
The father of the 10-year-old student told the daily the incident happened in the primary school in Ali Sabah Al-Salem (Umm Al-Haiman).
The father added the mother of the victim received a call from the school administration saying the boy was injured and that his father should come to the school.
When the father reached the school he saw his son bleeding from the left eye. According to the father, the school administration is trying to protect the perpetrator of the crime.
However, a complaint has been filed at the area police station. Police are investigating the case.
The father also said his son is studying in the fourth grade and he was allegedly assaulted by a student from the fifth grade in which his son almost lost his eyesight. The victim’s father wonders if the school administration will continue to cover up violent behavior of the suspect.

Wife’s KD 1,600 withdrawn: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband of ‘stealing’ her money and forging bank documents, reports Al-Anba daily.
She added she gave the husband her ATM card to pay KD 92 installment and was surprised when she got a SMS on her cell phone saying KD 500 had been withdrawn from her account. At another time, she said, the man withdrew KD 1,600 in one go.
She added when she went to the bank to inquire her bank balance, she was told the KD 500 was withdrawn using the ATM card and KD 1,600 with the help of the bank employee.
The woman claims she has not given the power of attorney to the man and wants to know how he managed to withdraw KD 1,600.

Mutairi’s op successful: The Director of the Global Medical Center in Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Farouk Mira, said the operation on the Kuwaiti Mohammad Al-Mutairi who was attacked by the brother of his first wife, was successful, reports Al-Rai daily.
His condition is believed to be stable.
However, the doctors at the hospital said the man needs another surgery and that the patient is current under observation in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
He was to be moved to his room after checking his condition.

Attempt to rape child: An unidentified Asian expatriate has been arrested and handed over to the authorities for allegedly attempting to rape a Kuwaiti child in Qairawan, reports Annahar daily.
The arrest came after a 40-year-old Kuwait filed a complaint with the area police station accusing the driver of molesting his 8-year-old son.

Woman reports neighbor: An unidentified woman has filed a complaint with the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Police Station accusing her neighbor of immoral behavior, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant the suspects stands near the gate of his house and makes obscene actions every time he sees her leave and enter the house.
She told the police she is fed up with the actions of her neighbor and that she had no option but to file a case against the perpetrator.
