Whisky Glass for 500 fils

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: An unspecified company for selling furniture and kitchenware is reportedly exploiting festive season of the multinational community in Kuwait to sell a glass of liquor (whisky) for 500 fils, reports Al-Shahid daily.
The company is said to have placed a sticker with the message on the glass and selling whisky to customers without necessarily drawing attention of the concerned authorities.

Passersby waylaid: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for impersonating police and stealing KD 700 from three Asian pedestrians. The incident happened near the Khaitan Sports Club, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The victims provided police with the license plate number of the car and the owner turned out to be an Egyptian.
Police will summon the Egyptian for interrogation.

Two caught drunk: Police have arrested two Kuwaitis for consuming alcohol, reports Annahar daily.
The drunkards were arrested at police checkpoint on the Cooperatives Road in Salwa.
Police have reportedly seized from the duo narcotic pills, a bottle of whisky, knives and sharp objects.
In a similar story, police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The arrest came when police received calls from some passers by in Mangaf that a Kuwaiti, believed to be in his 40s, was singing and dancing in the street following which he fell on the ground.
Police and paramedics rushed to the spot and rushed him to the Adan Hospital. At the time of the incident he was high on alcohol. After he recovered he was taken to a police station.
A case of drinking alcohol and disturbing passersby has been registered against him.
